This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data processed by SHERPA Robotics GmbH (“SHERPA Robotics GmbH”) in the course of its business activities and on its websites and other online and offline offerings (a “Service” or collectively the “Services”). You are always in control of your personal data collected when you visit our website ceraince.com (as set out below). We also provide SHERPA Robotics GmbH customers with features to protect the personal data collected through our Services. This Privacy Policy describes how SHERPA Robotics GmbH processes and protects this data.

Data protection and privacy are of fundamental importance to SHERPA Robotics GmbH. We never sell personal data and strictly adhere to the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the laws of Germany, where SHERPA Robotics GmbH is based. Cookies

SHERPA Robotics GmbH uses cookies to process data such as standard internet log data and details of behavioural patterns when visiting our website. The purpose of this is to provide you with a better web experience and to facilitate the use of certain website functions. Cookies are small files that are placed on computers or other devices by websites for the purpose of logging and improving the functionality of the website. SHERPA Robotics GmbH stores this data in a pseudonymised user profile. They are not processed to identify individual users or to compare them with other user data.

Cookies are stored on your device and you have full control over their use. You can deactivate cookies or restrict the transmission of data by cookies by changing the settings of your web browser. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. If you deactivate cookies, you may no longer be able to use the functions on our website to their full extent.

What personal data is collected and/or processed and for what purposes?

Usage data

We process aggregated or anonymised usage data for statistical purposes and to improve our website. When you visit our website, we store the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you came to us, the parts of our website that you visit, the date and duration of your visit and information about the device (type of device, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are in and browser type) that you use during your visit. We do process your IP address for the duration of your session. However, this is shortened by suppressing the last eight characters and is therefore anonymised before it is even stored on our servers.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about the behaviour of visitors to our website. Google Analytics reads information sent by your browser and stores cookies. The information is used to analyse the behaviour of website visitors and to improve our website. We have made the following privacy settings for Google Analytics:

  • IP anonymisation (shortening of the IP address before evaluation);
  • Limitation of the retention period for event data to 14 months

The following data is processed by Google Analytics:

  • IP address;
  • Referrer URL (last page visited);
  • Pages accessed (date, time, URL, title, length of visit);
  • downloaded files;
  • clicked links to other websites;
  • the achievement of certain goals (conversions);
  • technical information: Operating system; browser type, version and language; device type, make, model and resolution;
  • Session data of users who are logged into their Google account and have allowed personalised advertising
  • approximate location (country and city, possibly based on the anonymised IP address).

We have concluded a contract data processing agreement with Google Ireland Limited for the use of Google Analytics. In the event that personal data is transferred from Google Ireland Limited to the USA, Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC have concluded standard contractual clauses in accordance with the GDPR. Hotjar

We use Hotjar to better understand the needs of our users and to optimise the offer and experience on this website. Hotjar’s technology gives us a better understanding of our users’ experiences (e.g. how much time users spend on which pages, which links they click on, what they like and dislike, etc.) and helps us to tailor our offering to our users’ feedback. Hotjar works with cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behaviour of our users and their end devices, in particular IP address of the device (is only recorded and stored in anonymised form during your website use), screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), information about the browser used, location (country only), preferred language for displaying our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymised user profile. Hotjar is contractually prohibited from selling the data collected on our behalf. SalesViewer

This website uses SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH to collect and store data for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For this purpose, a javascript-based code is used to collect company-related data and use it accordingly. The data collected using this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website.

The data stored in the context of Salesviewer will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.

Email and contact form

If you have any questions, you can contact us via our website, e.g. via the web chat or the contact form, in which we ask you for your contact details (e.g. name, e-mail address, etc.). We only use this data to answer your questions. If you receive emails from us, we may use analysis tools to collect data, e.g. when you open our email or click on links or banners in our emails. This data helps us to assess the effectiveness of our messages and marketing campaigns. When you register to receive content or offers, we may ask for your name, email address and company details. We will only use the information you provide to us to provide the service for which you have registered. You can unsubscribe from receiving news or offers at any time.

Access and disclosure to third parties

SHERPA Robotics GmbH does not and has not previously sold consumers’ personal data to third parties. Except as set out below, we do not disclose your personal data. For the purpose of analysing certain technical data and for data processing and/or storage functions (e.g. IT and similar services), we work with a limited number of trusted external service providers. Data is only disclosed to the service providers to the extent necessary to provide the services offered and we contractually require them to keep confidential any data we disclose to them and to process personal data only in accordance with our instructions. Apart from the exceptional cases mentioned above, we will only pass on your data to third parties without your express consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if we are obliged to do so by law or on the basis of an official or court order of a country.

Communication to external websites

The Services may contain links to other websites, and other websites may refer to or link to our website or other services. These third party websites are not under the control of SHERPA Robotics GmbH. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of each website and application with which they interact. We do not endorse, review or approve the privacy practices or the content of such third party websites or applications and are not responsible for them. Your data, your rights

You have a right of access to the personal data processed by SHERPA Robotics GmbH and a right to rectification/correction, erasure and restriction of processing. You also have the right to receive from SHERPA Robotics GmbH a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format of the personal data that you have provided to us.

We can only identify you by your email address and fulfil your request and provide information if we have personal data about you because you have contacted us directly and/or use our website and/or service. We cannot provide, correct or delete data that we store on behalf of our users or customers.

Duration of processing

We will retain your Usage Data until you withdraw your consent for it to be processed. We will retain all other data as set out above for as long as necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it or to provide our services, resolve disputes, establish a legal defence, conduct audits, pursue our legitimate business purposes and enforce our contracts. We also retain information to the extent required by legal retention obligations.

International transfer of personal data

SHERPA Robotics GmbH stores customer data in the European Union. In a few cases, customer data may be accessed from the USA or other countries whose data protection laws differ from the data protection laws in your country of residence, or other data (e.g. e-mail) may be transferred to such countries. SHERPA Robotics GmbH has taken appropriate protective measures to ensure that your personal data remains protected and requires that third party service providers and partners of SHERPA Robotics GmbH also take appropriate protective measures.

Cloudflare

Our website also uses the content delivery network services of Cloudflare Inc, 701 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107 (USA).

The content delivery network stores the content of our website on the service provider’s server. The service provider’s server distributes this content to you or your browser when you access our website. Cloudflare processes your IP address and DNS log data, for example.

We use Cloudflare to protect against attacks such as “DDoS or bot attacks” on our website. In addition, the data processing aims to shorten the loading times of our website so that the content of our pages is available to you as quickly as possible.

Personal data may be transferred to third countries. For the comprehensive protection of your data in this case, appropriate guarantees or other instruments have been implemented to ensure compliance with the European data protection principles.

The legal basis for the use of Cloudflare is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR due to our legitimate interest in increasing the security and delivery speed of our website. We have concluded a contract with Cloudflare for commissioned data processing.

Changes to this privacy policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. The current version of this Privacy Policy governs our personal data collection, processing and disclosure practices. We will notify you of any changes by posting a written notice on our website.

By using the Website and/or Services after the effective date of any changes to this Privacy Policy, you consent to the amended Privacy Policy.
