Retrofitting of DMG MORI existing machines

Thanks to universal interfaces, our retrofit kits can be easily integrated into a wide range of machine models. They offer the opportunity to establish modern automation technologies in older systems - without having to make extensive changes to the existing control technology. Newer machines are connected via Profibus, Profinet or Ethernet/IP. Communication with older machines takes place via free M-functions and potential-free contacts.

With the SherpaLoader®, we offer a high-precision automation solution for CTX turning machines, characterized by flexible material feeding – ideal for both small and large workpieces. The option of unloading via part catcher optimizes the automation process, even for the smallest batch sizes. Thanks to full compatibility with DMG Profibus, smooth production workflows are ensured.

With the SherpaLoader®, NTX mill-turn machines receive a premium automation solution. Thanks to the generous space and versatile tool positions, both milling and turning parts are precisely loaded and efficiently processed. The SherpaLoader® enables the machining of both small and very large batch sizes and handles nearly all types of parts such as castings, sawn sections, shafts, and semi-finished products. Additionally, the option to use standard Euro pallets for feeding, combined with full DMG Profibus compatibility, ensures easy retrofitting of your machines – even if they were not originally designed for automation.

CLX TC mill-turn machines also benefit from the SherpaLoader®. Milling and turning parts can be easily loaded. Workpieces do not need to be stackable. Both small and very large batch sizes can be processed efficiently.
